Wedding Reels and Social Video Editing
Vertical, built for social · from $70
Vertical wedding reels for videographers and studios. Bride, groom and couple reels at $70 each, and teaser reels at $250, reframed properly rather than cropped, with sound mixed for a phone speaker.
Reels are where couples find videographers now. They are also the deliverable most likely to get squeezed out, because they arrive at the end of a long edit and they pay the least.
That is exactly the kind of work worth handing over. $70 each.
What You Get
- Bride reel: her morning, her dress, her walk down the aisle.
- Groom reel: the same, from his side of the day.
- Couple reel: the two of them together.
- Teaser reel: the teaser, built vertically. Same job as a 16:9 teaser, withholding the day rather than summarising it, but composed for a full-screen phone from the start. Priced as a teaser rather than as a reel, for the reason below.
Each one is cut vertically for Instagram and TikTok, with sound mixed for a phone speaker and colour matched to the rest of your delivery so a reel never looks like it came from a different wedding.
Reframed, Not Cropped
This is the part most people get wrong, and it is why a reel takes real time.
A wide two-shot that works beautifully at 16:9 will often have both people walking out of frame at 9:16. A drone shot that reveals a venue horizontally reveals almost nothing vertically. Centre-cropping a horizontal film produces something technically vertical and visually broken.
So a reel gets built from shots that survive the aspect ratio, reframed where a shot has room to give, replaced where it does not. That is why a vertical version of an existing teaser is quoted rather than thrown in.
What It Costs
Bride, groom and couple reels are $70 each.
A teaser reel is $250, the same price as a 16:9 teaser.
It is priced differently from the other reels because it is a different job. A bride reel pulls one thread out of the day. A teaser has to carry the whole wedding in ninety seconds and make the next couple enquire. That is a teaser's work, and the vertical frame does not make it any less of one.
A 16:9 teaser and a teaser reel are also two edits rather than one edit exported twice, because shots that hold at 16:9 routinely lose their subjects at 9:16. If you want both from the same wedding, say so up front and we will quote them together. That is cheaper than having a delivered teaser converted afterwards.
What We Need From You
Footage goes on Google Drive, Dropbox, or whichever cloud storage you already use. There is no size limit.
You fill in the project intake form once per wedding. It covers the theme and direction, the moments that have to be in the film, names and pronunciations, music direction, and anything you would rather we did not use. It is the brief the film gets built to, and it is the single biggest factor in how few revision rounds a project needs.
Turnaround
Standard turnaround is 7 to 8 working days.
The more useful answer is that we work to your date. Tell us when you have to deliver to your couple and we will confirm whether we can hit it before you commit to anything. If something has to jump the queue, expedited delivery in 48 to 72 hours is available at +50% of the project price.
Revisions
Four rounds are included: one internal alignment round before the film reaches you, and three with you. Notes go on the Frame.io link that carries the files, which timestamps each comment to the exact frame automatically.
Small changes are included generously. Re-edits that rebuild the film, such as a new music concept, a different narrative order or a substantially different length, are scoped separately. The full terms are on our revision policy page.
Working Under Your Brand
No watermark, no credit, and no contact with your couple. We sign NDAs and white-label agreements on request.
If you have not worked with us before we will do a sample edit after a short call. First-time clients can split payment 50/50 rather than paying up front, and there is a money-back guarantee on a first project.
Common questions
How much does a wedding reel cost?
Bride, groom and couple reels are $70 each. A teaser reel is $250, the same as a 16:9 teaser, because it is a teaser in everything but shape, and it has to carry the whole wedding rather than one thread of it.
Can you just crop my existing film to vertical?
We could, but it would look broken. Wide shots lose their subjects at 9:16 and drone reveals stop revealing anything. Reels are built from shots that survive the aspect ratio. If you want a vertical teaser, ordering it as a teaser reel from the start is cheaper than having a delivered 16:9 teaser converted afterwards.
What reels do you offer?
Bride, groom and couple reels at $70 each, and teaser reels at $250. The teaser reel is a teaser built vertically from the start rather than a horizontal one cropped down. If you want something else, such as a detail reel or a dancefloor cut, describe it on the intake form and we will quote it.
Are reels colour graded to match my other films?
Yes. A reel that looks like a different wedding to the highlight defeats the point of posting it.
How do I send you the footage?
Google Drive, Dropbox or whichever cloud storage you already use. There is no size limit. Three to five hundred gigabytes per wedding is normal for us.
How long does it take?
Standard turnaround is 7 to 8 working days. If you have a date you have to hit, tell us before you commit and we will confirm. Expedited delivery in 48 to 72 hours is available at +50%.
What editing software do you use?
DaVinci Resolve, exclusively, across the whole team. One program means a project can move between editors without conforming, and the colour work happens in the tool built for it.
Will my couple know the edit was outsourced?
Only if you tell them. No watermark, no credit, and no contact with your clients. We sign NDAs and white-label agreements on request.
Who chooses and licenses the music?
If you have chosen a track, send it and we cut to it, and that licence stays yours. If you need us to supply licensed music we can, within the platforms we have access to. Ask early: changing the music concept after the first draft means retiming every cut.
Do I get the project file as well as the video?
If you want it. You get the Resolve project with its assets, so changes can be made on your own machine. Some plugins we use are paid, so you would need your own licences for those. For most people the rendered master is all they ever use.
