Privacy Policy

What personal information S&D Media collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are.

Last updated: 14-05-2026

S&D Media Ltd ("S&D Media," "we," "us," or "our") is a wedding video editing
company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what information
we collect from you, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We work
with wedding videographers and studios, not directly with couples, and this
policy reflects that relationship.

1. Information We Collect

Contact information. When you reach out through our website, email, or
WhatsApp, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.

Project footage. Once you engage us for a project, we receive your raw
wedding footage for editing. If your project involves highly sensitive or
confidential material, we're happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before work
begins. Just let us know.

Payment information. We do not store your payment details. We don't run
recurring billing, so there's no card or account information sitting on our
systems after a transaction completes.

Website analytics. We use Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to understand how
visitors use our site and to run advertising campaigns. These tools may collect
standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

2. How We Use Your Footage

Your footage is used solely to complete the editing project you've hired us for.
We do not use it beyond that scope unless you've given us explicit permission to
do so, specifically:

  • Portfolio use. We only feature a finished project on our website or
marketing materials if you've given us permission to do so.
  • Training material. If we come across raw footage we think would be
genuinely useful for training new editors, we ask for written permission from
both the videographer and the couple before using it for that purpose. We never
use client footage for training without that permission.

3. Where Your Footage Lives

Here's the actual path your footage takes once you send it to us:

  1. Raw footage is downloaded directly onto the assigned editor's workstation.
  2. The finished edit is uploaded to Frame.io for your review and revision rounds.
We use Frame.io specifically because it makes the review and change process
    smooth for both sides.
  3. Once the project is finalized, the complete project file and raw footage are
moved to our local NAS server, where we retain it for 40 days in case you or
the couple need any further changes.
  4. After 40 days, we confirm with you before deleting the project from our
servers. Once confirmed, it's permanently removed.

4. Who Has Access to Your Data

Only our in-house editors, all full-time employees of S&D Media, ever access your
footage. No freelancers, subcontractors, or third parties outside our team touch
your project at any stage. Editors are not permitted to remove footage from
company systems or take it home. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal
information or footage with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you're based, you may have specific rights over your personal
data:

If you're in the UK or EU (UK GDPR / GDPR): You have the right to access the
personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request
deletion of your data, and object to certain processing.

If you're in California or another US state with applicable privacy law
(e.g. CCPA):
You may have the right to know what personal information we
collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. For
clarity, S&D Media does not sell personal information to third parties.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to
respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe. WhatsApp remains
open for quick project-related questions, but for formal data requests, email is
our official channel so there's a clear written record on both sides.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies via Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to measure site
performance and ad effectiveness. You can control or disable cookies through your
browser settings at any time.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Changes will be posted on this
page with an updated revision date.
