Terms of Service
The terms that apply to wedding video editing services provided by S&D Media to videographers and studios.
Last updated: 31-07-2026
These Terms of Service govern the relationship between S&D Media Ltd
("S&D Media," "we," "us") and wedding videographers and studios ("client," "you")
who engage us for wedding video editing services. By sending us a project or
making payment, you agree to these terms.
1. Who We Work With
S&D Media provides wedding video editing services exclusively to wedding
videographers and studios. We do not accept direct commissions from couples.
2. Payment Terms
Standard payment is 100% upfront before we begin work on your project.
For first-time clients, we offer two alternative arrangements to build trust
before you commit fully:
- A 50% upfront, 50% on delivery of the first draft payment split, or
- A money-back guarantee, where you can request a full refund if you're not
satisfied with the final product.
These first-time client options are not available on repeat projects, where
standard 100% upfront payment applies.
3. Ownership of Footage and Final Deliverables
S&D Media does not claim ownership of your raw footage or the final edited
product at any point. You retain full rights throughout.
We will only use a finished project for our own portfolio or marketing with your
explicit permission. If we ever want to use raw footage for any purpose beyond
your project, including training purposes, we will request written permission
from both you and the couple before doing so.
4. Revisions
Every project includes 4 rounds of revisions (one internal alignment pass plus
three client revision rounds).
Revision requests must be submitted within 2 months of the first draft
delivery. Requests made after this window, or revision rounds beyond the included
four, will be treated as additional paid work, priced according to the scope and
complexity of the changes requested.
5. Cancellations
If a project is cancelled partway through by the client, no refund will be issued
for work already completed.
6. Liability
If footage is lost, corrupted, or a deadline is missed due to circumstances within
our control, S&D Media's liability is limited to a full refund of the fee paid for
that specific project. This is the maximum extent of our liability under these
terms.
We handle every project with strict internal safeguards to prevent this from
happening, but we want you to know exactly where you stand if something ever does
go wrong on our end.
7. Force Majeure
If delivery is delayed due to circumstances outside our reasonable control (such
as internet outages, hardware failure, or unforeseen editor unavailability), we
will work to resolve the issue and complete your project as quickly as possible.
If we are ultimately unable to deliver, the remedy is the same as outlined in
Section 6: a full refund of the project fee.
8. Confidentiality
We do not retain your footage or project files beyond the 40-day post-delivery
window described in our Privacy Policy, and we do not use your material beyond
your project without written permission. If your project requires an additional
layer of confidentiality, we're glad to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement on
request. Just ask before we begin.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any
disputes arising from these terms will be handled under that jurisdiction.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always
be posted on this page with a revision date.
